I have to hand in my research proposal next week, for what i want to spend the next year worrying about, fretting over, and generally probably hating - so what have i decided to torture myself with :
the perceptions and opinions of professionals of Conductive Education and the Bobath method of Physiotherapy.........
am i going to regret this choice...... possibly....... but i'm sure whatever i had selected as my topic choice i will end up wishing i hadn't
so i am writing my justification for research - and how do i justify this choice - because i'm crazy.....actually not a bad justification!

I'm frightened for your sanity, just imagining how you can undertake this research topic.
Why compare an animal with a plant? One wouldn't. Why compare a therapy with a system of education? One shouldn't.
Yes, I understand that you are not proposing to compare the the things themselves but the attitudes of "professionals". But which professionals? How will you define and limit the group and yet still get a sufficiently representative sample? Teachers? Paediatricians? Teachers of children with cerebral palsy? Physiotherapists? Too many ill-defined variables.
Sorry for being a wet blanket. Let me try to be more positively helpful.
Far better to do something small scale and tight. Focus on attitudes to conductive education among a select group - say teachers in one special school and physios in one paediatric unit. And perhaps simply record what you find without any effort to compare.
And don't forget to continue to record your wonderful journey in your blog.
Best wishes. Norman
